GUS Group uses DB2 pureXML for ERP System

There is a nice story in IBM’s Performance Perspectives Newsletter about an IBM business partner called GUS Group who are based in Cologne, Germany. GUS Group have developed an ERP system that runs on IBM DB2 database and IBM System x hardware. Their ERP solution stores all data that they want to make available for data exchange in XML format. They evaluated all the XML-capable databases in the market and determined that IBM’s DB2 offered the best technology for this application. One principal reasons they chose DB2 pureXML is because of the ability to easily work with both XML and relational data in the same database. You can read the article in full at:
