Hi Conor,
great list of resources. For Ruby on Rails users, I would also suggest the blog entry "Creating webservices using Ruby on Rails, DB2 and XForms - METS Standard" from Nuno Job, one of the DB2 Student Ambassadors at University of Minho, Portugal. He created several screencasts that show how to use XForms with DB2 pureXML and the METS standard and has blogged about it, including also some code samples. The blog entry is available at this URL: http://nunojob.wordpress.com/2008/02/26/mets-standard-with-ibm-db2-express-c-using-xforms-as-user-interface-and-ruby-on-rails-as-a-rest-web-services/
